Duration 7 hours – 1 day
This qualification compromises of two parts and has been developed to meet the SIA Core Competency requirements for Door Supervisors:
We will look at how staff can help to reduce the risk of assault through non-physical measures, and be able to avoid different forms of assault by adopting correct positioning, and their manner of approach. We will look at how they can disengage from the most common types of assault they are likely to encounter.
Safe Holding & Escorting
Occasionally, as a last resort, staff may have to legitimately use force to take hold of or physically escort a person off the premises. We will teach staff the holds used to protect them and also to avoid discomfort and pain to the individual.
This is in 2 parts: - a written examination (NOT multiple choice) and a safe practical assessment.
Achievement of the qualification is subject to delegates being successful in both parts.
Please contact Barton Security for further information on where to take the training and, or examination.
